Pediatric dentists at our Langley children's dental clinic, are proud to offer Invisalign® First, a new range of Invisalign orthodontic aligners designed specifically for kids.

What is Invisalign First?

Invisalign First is a series of clear, removable orthodontic aligners appliances that are specially designed to straighten children's teeth as they grow.

Invisalign First can be used to correct tooth spacing irregularities, crowding, protrusions, and arch development and expansion issues. Invisalign First treatment can also help improve the overall appearance of the smile.

Invisalign First gently guides children's teeth into the correct positions during the eruption process, which can help to lessen or eliminate the need for more extensive or invasive orthodontic treatment later.

How does Invisalign First work?

Invisalign First gently expands and contours your child’s jawline via a process called dental arch expansion. This process involves applying pressure to the teeth over an extended period of time in order to increase the width of the dental arch.

Invisalign First treatment begins with a visit to our office in order for your child's dentist to determine whether your child is a good candidate for Invisalign First treatment.

If so, the next step will be for the dentist to take pictures, x-rays, and impressions of your child’s mouth, teeth and jaws. These will be sent to an Invisalign lab where the custom Invisalign First aligner will be made for your child.

When the aligner is ready, your child will return to our office to have the aligner fitted to their smile.

During treatment, the your child's aligner will gently shift your child’s teeth into their new positions. Depending on the nature of your child’s misalignment, they may require either a pair of aligners (for both the upper and lower jaw) or just a single aligner.
