New Patients Are Always Welcome at Our Practice!

The dentists and support team at Smile Town Langley look forward to meeting you, and welcoming your children to our practice!

Our Practice is Specially Designed For Children

It's unlike any other dental practice! We want your children to feel at ease from the moment they enter our practice, so we've created this very special environment. Your children will be greeted by our personable, friendly reception team, and they'll wait for their appointment in our engaging, kid-friendly reception area, or in the Theatre Room.

At Smile Town Dentistry in Langley, we provide a variety of toys, books and activities to help keep your children busy and occupied while they wait.

We know that visiting the dentist for the first time can be unnerving and intimidating for children, just like anything unfamiliar can be. All the fun stuff at our practice will help anxious kids feel more at ease, and will keep their minds on better things than fretting or worrying.

New Patients, Childrens Dentist LangleyThe First Consultation

Your child's first appointment with Smile Town's children's dentists will focus on our getting to know each other. We'll have a friendly chat, during which our team will be able to get an idea of what your child is like, and you and your child will be able to ask any questions you may have about dental health.

We'll also thoroughly review your child's medical and dental health history, to better determine the course his or her treatment should take.

Office Tour

During the initial consultation, we'll show your child around our practice. Your child will get to try out the dentist's chair, look at all the instruments and tools we use, and generally get used to our office environment in a low-key way.

Check-up & Cleaning

After the tour and initial consultation, we'll start your child's first check up. During the check up, we will thoroughly examine your child's gums, teeth, mouth, jaw, face and head.

We'll also take dental x-rays, to help us more accurately monitor the growth and development of the mouth, and identify any developing problems, such as cavities or jaw misalignment. Finally, we'll perform a cleaning of your child's teeth.

If your child doesn't feel ready for the first checkup and cleaning directly after the office tour and chatting with the dentist, we'll be glad to schedule an appointment on a different date.
